Teeth Whitening:
Le Beau Visage Permanent Cosmetics is pleased to offer professional in-office teeth whitening. Whether you have already whitened your teeth and need them refreshed or you would like to lighten your natural teeth for the first time, we can help! Supervised by our owner, a licensed dental hygienist, let us give your smile that extra whitening shine!
Our in-office whitening procedure takes approximately 1-1.5 hours. First, we pre-screen your smile and a “start” shade/color of your teeth is recorded. During the appointment we provide a professional strength whitening agent for your teeth and accelerate the process with a special enhancing light. The procedure result varies from individual to individual depending on the color of your teeth when we begin. We do provide TWO treatments within the same visit to maximize your whitening success. When we are finished, most people will see an immediate result and an “after” shade will be recorded. After care instructions will be given on liquids to avoid immediately after a treatment for the best results, such as coffee, red wine or colas.
Tooth Gems:
Our tooth gems are placed by licensed dental professionals with over 30 years of dental experience! Our providers have worked in the capacity of a registered dental hygienist and registered dental assistant for many years, your service will be evaluated for safety and proper placement. Our tooth jewels come available a variety of types, Swarovski stones, or jewels in 18kt - 22kt yellow gold, 18kt white gold and 14kt rose gold or .01ct and .02ct SI clarity diamonds, the choice is yours! Or we can custom order something special! A brilliant way to add sparkle to your smile and stand out of the crowd! The jewel does not harm your teeth or the soft tissues and has no side effects except for the sparkling smile.
Tooth gems are Swarovski crystals, real 18k white gold and 22k yellow gold jewel icons, designed specifically for dental use. The crystals have a special coating on the back and their facet cut reflects the light and makes it sparkle like a diamond. Unlike earlier methods which involved drilling and setting the jewel into the tooth, dental adhesive material will attach the jewelry onto the teeth and can last up to a year or longer.
How Do these Tooth Gems Sparkle?
Our standard crystal gem tooth jewels are Swarovski crystals. Their flat back is surfaced with a special coating to create a sparkle and shine like a diamond.
How Long will a Tooth Gem Last?
A tooth jewel applied correctly on a natural tooth will stay on until you decide to have it removed. Based on our experience it will certainly stay on for several months or longer depending on your lifestyle, eating habits and oral care . We encourage our clients to not pick, play, or manipulate the gem however for the best retention. We guarantee it to remain in place for 2 months. If it falls off before two months we will replace it for you one time at no charge for the application fee. You must however repay for the jewelry.
Can I feel the Tooth Jewelry on my Tooth?
The jewels are only 0.4mm or 0.9mm thick and 1.8mm to 3mm in diameter. Initially something on your tooth will feel different, but a few days after the application you will get used to the new feeling.
Will the Tooth Gem Harm my Natural Tooth?
No. The tooth gems are bonded to the enamel like a orthodontic bracket without any drilling or pain. The procedure and removal can be compared to the placement and removal of orthodontic brackets. When it is removed it it simply popped off and the tooth will be polished to remove any remaining bonding material.
What if the Tooth Gem Falls Off and I Swallow it?
The tooth gems are tiny glass crystals or gold. They have no sharp edges. It will basically come out “the natural way”.
Can I still have my teeth cleaned by my dentist/hygienist?
Yes, you can and should still have your teeth cleaned by a professional. The tooth gems jewelry will not cause a problem for the hygienist cleaning your teeth. The area underneath the jewel is sealed like a filling and will not let in any bacteria.
How do I Remove my Tooth Gem?
Removal should be performed by a dental professional. Removal is done in the same manner braces are removed – the gem is polished off and will leave no visible mark on the tooth. The providers at our facility are licensed dental professionals which can safely remove the jewelry for you.
