The "Story" of Le Beau Visage and Our Qualifications ----
Michelle Thau, RDH is the owner and permanent cosmetic provider at Le Beau Visage. Backed with a passion to work with cancer patients, Michelle was honored to be contacted in 2009 by our local reconstructive and plastic surgeon's to be part of the final reconstructive team for breast cancer reconstruction patients. Her roll includes areola tattooing of the breast(s) via referral from the office of Dr. Daniel Thomas, plastic surgeon, of Chico.
Michelle has been in the dental field since 1989 and graduated with academic honors and an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1998. She currently practices part-time as a California licensed dental hygienist in the office of Rashpal S. Deol, DDS a leading and advanced implant dentist located in Chico, CA. As a past member of the Dental Division at Enloe Hospital Cancer Center's Head and Neck Tumor Board, Michelle expanded her knowledge of systemic diseases which can effect body image and hair loss. It was this experience which inspired Michelle to begin education on permanent make-up application with an emphasis on medical tattooing for breast reconstructions and scar revisions. In 2005 she completed additional education to receive a certificate in micropigmentation from International Cosmetique and opened Le Beau Visage Permanent Cosmetics.
In October of 2006 Michelle's mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. As an only child, she had the opportunity to be involved in every facet of the treatment, from diagnosis to completion of chemotherapy and radiation. This experience affirmed the desire to work with cancer patients and the drive to be an asset to the community for breast areola re-pigmentation. Observing what tremendous strengths are required further inspired advanced training specific to the breast with a goal of being part of a reconstructive team and the final aesthetic result of the breast. "My original goal was to work on building my skills the first years of practice, then begin more advanced classes during year two. But my Moms diagnosis set me back a year on additional courses. I believe there is a reason for everything your handed in life. Because of my Mom's diagnosis, I know so much more about breast disease and treatment then I ever did before." In 2008 Michelle completed "Advanced Techniques in Areola Restoration" and "Advanced Color Theory" continuing education courses taught by certified instructors with the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals. Requirements for Blood Borne Pathogen courses and Cal-OSHA Infection Control are also part of the annual or biannual training Michelle maintains. Today, Michelle's Mother is doing excellent and is cancer free! As a dedicated member of several national and local professional organizations, she prides herself in providing natural looking, beauty enhancing permanent cosmetics and works with each individual's bone structure and skin type to achieve a desired result. Having had permanent make-up procedures, Michelle knows first-hand the priceless benefits of professionalism, detail and complete anesthesia for procedures! When providing cosmetic tattooing services, comfort and quality are the foremost expectations for your service at Le Beau Visage. Discomfort is eliminated throughout lip liner or full lip color procedures with the ability to provide complete anesthesia for clients to remain comfortable. With eyebrow and eyeliner procedures, discomfort is managed and controlled with topically applied anesthetic to keep the client comfortable throughout the procedure. Finally, the use of advanced custom surgical eye magnification and fiber-optic lighting during every procedure will assist Michelle in achieving the completed cosmetic result of natural looking cosmetics and a beautiful face. ______ A Personal Message from the Owner:
With her personal time out of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son and daughter, and her "herd" of animals including dogs, cats, goats and chickens. Together the family enjoys international traveling, home projects, gardening, interior decorating and outdoor activities such as camping and riding ATV's in different places around Northern California and Nevada. As a busy mom, Michelle knows just how hectic morning time can be and the convenience of permanent make-up is priceless when time isn't on your side!

In 2007, JoJo (Joann) Fennell, RDA joined Le Beau Visage as an eyelash extension specialist. She trained with Xtreme Lashes in San Francisco, CA and brings with her extensive experience with fine details and precision and has a great eye for obtaining a beautiful balanced lash design. By placing each lash extension precisely under surgical eye magnification, lash by lash JoJo can make existing natural eyelashes look long, full and beautiful. JoJo also meets requirements for Blood Borne Pathogen and OSHA standards. Currently JoJo is also a full-time student pursuiting a career as a respitatory therapist. She enjoys similar outdoor activities such as camping and ATV riding, and spending time with her high school aged son, and her 2 dogs Stanley and Sadie.
